"I'll Pray For You"

Atheists and other non-Christians often get notifications from well-meaning Christians who promise to pray for them.  I recommend the following response...

You have my permission to pray for me only if you ask God (Jesus if you prefer) to correct whichever of us is further from the truth, in which case you have my permission and thanks.

Here is an example of one I got in my website email:

My name is ******, and I love you.  I will be praying for you, even if you don't want me to.  I'll be praying daily that Jesus will open your heart to what is true.  Then you will find that the Word of God is the same today, tomorrow, and for forever, and His message for you and all mankind is found in the top selling nonfiction book of all time and centuries.  His Word will not come back empty, and He loves you too.

I'll update this if she responds.
